Pastel
Common Name: Ball or Royal Python
Scientific Name: Python Regius
Morph Features: Color & Slight Pattern Mutation
Genetics: Co-Dominant
First Produced: Greg Graziani 1997
The pastel gene was acquired from imports out of Africa. Both Greg Graziani and N.E.R.D. have since line bred this trait to produce slightly different looking pastels known as the lemon line and the Graziani line. The pastel was one of the pioneer mutations in the industry. It has a slightly different pattern than normal ball pythons and has a brilliant yellow coloration that can be accentuated by crossing it with other morphs. The pastel can also produce supers when combined with another pastel.
